Head of Alpha Strauss
Jameel Istaitih (1980); The husband of Alhan and father of two, Mechanical Engineer and Innovator, is responsible for the industry 4.0 (Smart / advanced manufacturing) strategy of the Strauss Group. Istaitih Has joined Strauss Group in 2012 as a Senior Project Manager in the Corporate Engineering Office of Strauss Israel where he was responsible of projects leading and implementing of new technologies in the Industrial manufacturing automation field. In 2016 was appointed as a Senior Project Manager at Alpha Strauss Initiative which is responsible for the global technology innovation of the group. In 2018 was appointed as the first Head of industry 4.0 team at the CTO office leading all future manufacturing strategy and tech implementations. Previous to Strauss, gained experience in variety of industrial companies and Startups in the fields: Automotive, Medical, Defense and more. Istaitih holds a MBA degree and a PMP (Project Management Professional) Certificate. Istaitih is a Rescue Diver and a Skipper. Volunteers as the Deputy Commander of the SAR (Search and Rescue) Police diving unit in Israel since 2006.
Eyal Shimoni (1964), Professor, and father of three, trail runner and guitar player, is the VP of Technology, responsible for the technology strategy of the Strauss Group. Prof. Shimoni Joined Strauss as an external advisor in 2008, and was appointed as VP of Technology of the Strauss Group in August 2010. Eyal received his doctorate in Food Engineering and Biotechnology from the Technion and was a professor at the Food Engineering faculty. Eyal’s research, which has been published in respected international circles in the food industry, mainly addresses the issues of improving the health qualities of food products by mastering the ingredients from the molecular level to the manufacturing level.
Giora Bardea(B. 1953): Married to Anat, father of three and a proud grandfather of four, Giora has been the Deputy CEO of Strauss Group since August 2014. Mr. Bardea began his journey in Strauss Group (formerly Elite) in 1996; first serving as GM of Sales and Logistics for Elite, after which he was appointed CEO of Elite Israel and later on CEO of Strauss Israel. Giora's penultimate position in the group was in NYC between 2007-2014, where he served as the CEO of Strauss North-America. Prior to joining Strauss Group, Mr. Bardea served as GM of Kfar-Hamaccabia and HR Director for Tadiran. Giora is deeply involved in the civic arena. He serves as the Chairman of the management committee of ERAN-Emotional First Aid service and is a member of the public council of Beit-Noam. In the past he also served as the vice chairman of Maccabi World Union. Mr. Bardea participated in the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School and holds a B.A. in Humanities from Tel Aviv University.
Dagan Eshel (1964), The husband of Tami and the father of three, entrepreneur and innovator, the head of Alpha Strauss since its establishment, joined the group at 2000 when Elite (later became part of Strauss Group) bought a small company he owned. At the most of the next 10 years, Dagan managed the innovation at different Strauss Group BU'S, designed a significant part of Strauss innovation management process and led tens of innovation projects.
